We're getting very close to finishing it, but as luck would have it, it looks like the last bits and bobs may take the longest, as schedules prevent us from getting too much done during the month of April. Therefore, whereas we were hoping for a May 2009 release, well, it is looking more like June/July at this point. The songs are really coming together nicely, so hopefully you'll find it worth the wait. We head to the studio this weekend and if things go as planned we should have another demo to post to our website as a teaser, so to speak. We also settled on a concept for the album artwork....which we think you'll like too, but we're not going to ruin the surprise. Some of you may have received the news that one of our songs was used in a recent episode of MTV's The Real World. It was pretty cool to hear it on TV and we're hoping more will follow. As of Saturday, January 24th, we completed 8 full days of recording. During the first seven days we completed 98% of the first batch of songs, recording-wise, as they still need to be mixed and mastered. The first batch of songs are: Another Rainy Weekend It's Just You Leave Me Behind This Day Here's To Feeling Free PLUS a bonus 'children's song' that thus far has met with high approval rating by the 3 and younger crowd! PLUS another bonus song that we can't really talk about just yet, but if it makes it onto the album, it will blow your sox off! Last Saturday, January 24th, we started on batch two, which consists of the following songs: So Long (maybe) Your Girl Weary Eyes Cynthia Like The Sun Lost With Me Beautiful Magical We essentially finished the drums and initial guitar track on all but two of the above, which is where we will pick up this Saturday, plus work on bass and guitar bits and bobs. The reason we have broken the recording into two batches is simply because initially we were thinking we would only release an EP (batch one) but we have so much material that we want to record, well, we decided to bite the bullet ($$$-wise) and do a full album. We are currently planning to have it ready for release in May 2009, sooner if we can of course! Thanks for being patient with us!
